Best Smoothie Everrr!!!

I am lucky enough to have this tasty smoothie for breakfast every morning to get my wheels turning! This smoothies literally works wonders ... it gives you energy, detoxics, beautifies, and even increases brain function (counteracting my mommy brain is much needed!) and the list of miraculousness goes on and on.  My whole family starts our day with this super food including our 2 year old son since he was 5 months old. 

My husband tinkled with the recipe for months before getting it just right (I had the best part of the deal as the taste tester :-) It’s honestly perfection in a cup. All our friends rave over it and we got our parents on both sides making it for themselves everyday too! 

This smoothie is packed with so many vitamins and health benefits it’s hard to list them all but here are the major ones:

FOREALZIES??!! How can one smoothie do all this? It is loaded with a remarkable amount of essential vitamins and other compounds such as antioxidants, zinc, vitamin C, potassium, Gallic acid, iodine, flavonoids, phenolic and carotenoids, beta-carotene, fiber, protein, slow carbs, folate, photochemicals, magnesium, and naturally supports the growth of probiotics and melatonin.  


1/3 cup carrot juice

1/3 cup orange juice

1 1/2 bananas 

4 cups fresh baby spinach (loosely packed) 

2 tablespoons almond butter

1 cup frozen peaches

1 cup frozen blueberries

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 cup frozen dark cherries

Put all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.  We use a Vitamix, which requires very little liquid to blend.  If our blender is giving you a hard time, add more juice and/or spinach to help it along.  Also, we try to use organic with the ingredients found on the 'Dirty Dozen.'
